    George’s in Waco open this Sunday for Eclipse



    WACO, Texas (KWTX) – George’s restaurant in Waco is known for their Big O’s and American meals, and whereas they normally are closed on Sundays, right this moment was a particular exception.To cater to the crowds in Waco right here for the eclipse, managing associate Chris Cady shares how George’s created particular drinks to have fun the event.“We have an eclipse margarita that we created… a wonderful product, and then one of the local brewers brewed an eclipse beer…we have it on draft.”Manager Kevin Lopez says they stocked their eating places absolutely, able to serve any guests.“Prepped on our groceries, beer liquor and wine, just kind of see where its going to be. We’re going blind into it we have no idea what’s going to happen day to day.”Paul Hidrogo has been a common buyer of George’s for 13 years and introduced his complete household when he heard they have been open on a Sunday.“We’re going to take a picture before we leave here to prove that I was here on a Sunday I promise you.”Cady says they’re able to entertain anybody from throughout the nation or close to home.“We want to be a part of the excitement and hopefully get to meet a new traveler coming through or be open for just our normal customers and Waco people that we love so much on just a fun weekend.”Georges might be open on Monday during regular hours, however welcome clients and workers to view the eclipse during totality.Copyright 2024 KWTX.
