    MultiVersus Players Say Goodbye: 'This Game Will Always Hold a Special Place in My Heart'

    MultiVersus, the 2024 free-to-play crossover preventing game, will shortly go offline for good.

    Player First Games introduced that MultiVersus Season 5 will be its last back in January, confirming the brawler would close down completely at 5pm PDT (12 midday EDT), on May 30, 2025. It was reportedly seen as a main failure for Warner Bros. Discovery; in a financial call from November 2024, the corporate admitted MultiVersus carried out far worse than anticipated, ensuing in a $100 million writedown for its video games business. That introduced the whole loss of the business to $300 million after the disappointing launch of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League in January.
